Join the Diaz Lab

We recruit trainees who want to combine computational and experimental approaches to clinically grounded questions in brain-tumor biology. Projects span single-cell and spatial genomics, genetic lineage tracing, machine learning, functional genomics, tumor immunity, and translational studies of treatment response and resistance. 

The laboratory is interdisciplinary. Computational trainees are expected to engage deeply with biology and study design; experimental trainees are supported in developing quantitative and genomic expertise. We value scientific rigor, reproducibility, collaboration, direct communication, and mentorship tailored to each trainee’s goals.

Postdoctoral opportunities

Computational postdoctoral scholars. Relevant backgrounds include computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, machine learning, applied mathematics, computer science, or quantitative genetics. Experience with single-cell, spatial, genomic, image, or longitudinal clinical data is advantageous. Experimental or translational postdoctoral scholars. Relevant backgrounds include cancer biology, molecular biology, functional genomics, immunology, neuro-oncology, or model development. Interest in integrating experimental and computational evidence is essential. Application materials.
